We pride ourselves in trying to accommodate to most couples needs, including budget and scale.

We can provide wedding florals for a big wedding - everything from installations, table arrangements and bridal party florals, plus anything else you can dream of.

Or, if a big wedding isn’t your thing, we can also provide just the necessities while still making it feel special and bespoke.
Wedding packages are available for those who aren’t too fussed with flowers and just want to book in. You can leave the work for the florist so you can relax and start counting down the days.

Lou Botanica is based in Blackheath, Blue Mountains NSW.

We primarily focus on servicing the Blue Mountains region. We can and will service anywhere in Sydney and NSW, but, depending where your wedding is located may increase some costs such as delivery.

The owner of Lou Botanica, Abbey Carter, has over 9 years of industry experience. She has developed a wide range of skills and expertise for the art of floristry, and obtains a deep understanding for flower use and care. Abbey’s extensive knowledge of working with flowers has provided her the skill to be efficient in the trade, but still taking patience and care into every arrangement she creates.

Abbey believes in creating unique, textural and sentimental flowers for someone’s wedding day. Here at Lou Botanica, we can show you how impactful and captivating flowers can be, all without needing to go ‘over the top’. We create flowers that will have your guests talking about them for months and years to come.

We prefer to not copy trends here at Lou Botanica. Offering our clients something special and unique to them is our priority. We practice intentional floristry and that evolves from who you are, where and when you are getting married, what you envision for your special day and what is important and sentimental to you. These are the ingredients for your wedding flowers - not every other persons you see online.

Lastly, we don’t like waste, so we offer all flowers provided for our couples wedding days go home with their guests at the end of the night. Everyone loves going home with a bunch of fresh flowers, it’s a win-win!

We offer flexible pricing based on wedding type, what you would like to book and complexity. After an initial free consultation, we’ll provide a starting quote, with the ability for further discussion and changes leading up to your wedding day.

The ability to offer flexible pricing comes with our couples trusting our extensive experience in the industry. We take on direction from our couples with colours, style and a few sentimental flowers requests (season depending), not an itemised list of flowers or inspiration pictures that have to be copied to an absolute tee. This allows us to buy what is fresh and in season (lower cost, better value), which then extends us to spread your budget further. Fresh, in season flowers + more flexibility = stunning arrangements for your wedding day.

Once we have majority of the details set and a deposit is paid*, we will send through a finalised quote for you to confirm. We allow changes up to 1 month prior to your wedding day, but this may result in an increase or decrease of your finalised quote amount.

*A non-refundable 10% deposit is required upon the couples agreement of their starting quote to book in with us.

The main factors that are taken in to create your wedding florals quote include:

• Location - petrol and driving costs

• What you are booking - flower arrangements

• How many flowers you are booking - ordering + collecting flowers, flower care and prep

• Set up costs - installations, layout of wedding venue, transfer and placement of flowers

• Scale of wedding - staff requirements

• Venue location - set up time allocation, distance between car park to ceremony/reception areas

• Bump out of wedding - packing everything up at the end of the night, taking arrangements apart for guests to take home

• Consultation time with clients

These are some of the things we are researching and taking into consideration when we are creating your wedding quote for you. We like to provide transparency where we can with our clients, within reason, and this is apart of it.

We know a lot of people say, “When you say it’s for a wedding it skyrockets the price!”, and there is a reason for this. We can’t speak for other industries a lot of work goes into the production of wedding flowers. No two florists price the same, we all have different overheads and believe we price honestly and fairly based on our skill level and value of our work.
